Frequently asked questions

  • Does my Intro Offer start from the date of purchase or first class?
Your Intro Offer activates from your first class, and you’ll have 30 days from that date to use your credits.

  • Do I need to book ahead?
Yes, we highly recommend booking ahead to avoid missing out — our classes often reach full capacity.

How do I book a class?
Simply download the House of Movement app, create an account, and browse our Mat and Reformer Room class timetables.

    How does the waitlist work?
If a class is full, join the waitlist. When a spot becomes available, the first person in the queue will be notified and given 10 minutes to confirm. If they don’t respond, the opportunity moves to the next person on the list. 30 minute before class, it turns into “fastest fingers first”, where everyone on the waitlist will be notified and it will be the fast person to accept spot that joins.

  • What time should I arrive?
Arrive at least 5 minutes before class. If it's your first visit, we recommend coming 10 minutes early so we can welcome you, show you around, and help you settle in.

    What should I wear?
Comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely. Grippy socks are recommended but not required.

    What should I bring?
Just a water bottle, a sweat towel, and your beautiful self!

  • What is your cancellation/no-show policy?
You can cancel up to 6 hours before class and have your credit returned.
    Late cancellations (within 2 hours).
    No-shows will forfeit their credit.

How do I cancel a class?
Head to the app, tap on your booked class, then select Cancel and confirm.

  • What if the doors are locked?
Our doors are locked once class begins, as we don’t have regular reception staff. Please arrive on time — late arrivals unfortunately won’t be able to join the class.

What's the best way to contact you?
Email us at hello@moveberwick.com.au. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
You’re also welcome to chat with any of our team in-studio!

  • I’m new to Pilates — which classes can I join?
Welcome! We’re thrilled to have you. All classes on our timetable are open-level, meaning they’re beginner-friendly and our instructors will guide you through movement with support and challenge tailored to you.

Can I attend if I’m pregnant?
Yes, we will welcome women to join us during any trimester of their pregnancy — of course, we always recommend checking in with your doctor first to make sure regular Pilates classes are suitable for you. Our trainers are ready to support you, by providing an empowering environment for you to move your body, with suitable adjustment and modifications provided as needed.

When can I return to class after giving birth?
Firstly, congratulations! We recommend waiting at least 6 weeks postpartum, and getting clearance from your healthcare provider before returning. We’re here to support you in rebuilding strength safely.

  • How do I suspend or cancel my membership?
To suspend your membership, please email hello@moveberwick.com.au with your desired start and end dates. We’ll process your suspension and update your membership accordingly.
To cancel your membership, we require at least two weeks' notice via email. Once cancellation is confirmed, you’ll have two final payments, during which you can continue attending classes until the end of that period.

How do I update or downgrade my membership?
Memberships can be upgraded or downgraded at any time. Simply email hello@moveberwick.com.au and let us know your preference. Changes can take effect either from your next payment or from a date that suits you.

How do I buy a gift card?

  • House of Movement Liability Waiver & Informed Consent

    Welcome to House of Movement.

We’re honoured to have you here. Our studio is a space built on intentional movement, community, and care. To ensure a safe and supported experience for everyone, we kindly ask that you read and agree to the following terms prior to participating in any class, session, or studio offering.

    1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that my participation in classes, workshops, or sessions offered by House of Movement—including but not limited to Pilates (mat and reformer), strength training, yoga, mobility, prenatal and postnatal movement, and breathwork—carries inherent physical risks.

I understand these risks may include, but are not limited to, muscular strain, joint stress, and the possibility of more serious injury. I affirm that I am voluntarily participating and take full responsibility for my health and physical wellbeing during and after class.

    2. Health Declaration & Pre-Existing Conditions

I confirm that I am in good physical condition and have disclosed any relevant injuries, limitations, or medical conditions—especially those that may affect my ability to participate safely. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to consult a physician or medical professional before beginning any new physical activity.

    Pregnancy Policy

At House of Movement, we are committed to supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our pregnant clients. To ensure all participants move safely and appropriately during pregnancy, we have the following policy in place:

    Medical Clearance

Pregnant clients are strongly encouraged to seek advice and clearance from their licensed healthcare provider before participating in any physical activity, including Pilates classes.

However, House of Movement does not require a separate Pregnancy Intake Form. By agreeing to our General Waiver, pregnant clients acknowledge that they have consulted with their healthcare provider as needed and accept full responsibility for participating in classes.

    Class Eligibility

Clients who are pregnant are welcome to attend open-level classes but must inform the instructor of their pregnancy prior to class commencement, so that modifications and appropriate support can be offered.

Client Responsibility for Movement & Health

Pregnant clients are responsible for monitoring their own health and physical responses during classes. This includes:

Modifying or stopping movements as needed (or when advised by trainer)

Using props and supports when appropriate

Listening to their body and resting whenever necessary

Alerting the instructor immediately if they feel unwell or experience any discomfort

Clients are reminded to work within their own personal limits and recognise that instructors can offer general guidance and mofications but cannot provide individualised medical advice.

    Acknowledgement & Liability

By signing the House of Movement General Waiver and participating in classes while pregnant, clients acknowledge that they do so at their own risk and agree to release House of Movement, its staff, and instructors from any liability related to injuries, health complications, or risks arising from participation.

    3. Waiver of Liability & Release

In consideration for being permitted to engage in studio activities, I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless House of Movement, its directors, staff, trainers, contractors, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, or damages arising from my participation—whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

This waiver applies to all classes, workshops, open studio time, and private sessions held both on and off-site.

    4. Memberships & Packs Acknowledgement
